Obsession Overload: Idina Menzel

As we all know, Frozen has been Hollywood's most recent phenomenon. One of my own personal reasons I love it so much is because of Elsa's character voice, by Idina Menzel. I have been quite a silent fan of hers since seeing the broadway show Wicked [whom she plays Elphaba, the wicked witch]. I have not been fortunate enough to actually see her live, but her live performance of the infamous number "Defying Gravity" streamed on YouTube had me glued. And now deemed a forever fan.
What is the point of all this? Well not only does she possess one of the most powerful voices in broadway, stars in one of my ultimately favorite broadway plays, and now characterizes one of the most famous animated voices in Frozen, but I just recently discovered she also has incredible taste in men. Yes, she was once married to (and bares a beautiful son with) the incredibly talented, and hands down most handsome man alive... besides my hubby *wink*... TAYE DIGGS!

Yes, this guy...
I have loved him in all movies from Brown Sugar, The Best Man, even the classic late 90s film The Wood.

So I'm thinking as if I'm not obsessed with her enough, this just adds to it a million bajillion times more. And no I don't mean obsessed like omg I want a lock of her hair, lock your doors, jack up the security kind of obsession. That's scary. By "obsessed", I simply mean I'm an even bigger fan.

You go girl!

Obsessed

I know I've talked about this before, but switching gears a little bit. I'm still obsessing over my hair and the style I'm trying to achieve. Does anyone else have this problem? Please tell me I'm not alone in this. I'm pretty sure it's just the whole you want what you don't have sort of thing. Likely. Although I know that's not how life should be, we are just talking about hair so let's not get too philosophical on this topic.

Here's the thing. I've recently merged into this ombré trend, yet it's more gradual than most. I just can't decide how light/dark I should go/stay. Does that make sense? Here is whose hair [talk about a Dr. Seuss tongue twister] I've been obsessing with lately via my Instagram feed.

Although they all seem to look about the same, there's definitely a shade or two difference in all of them. As you can see they all have a similar complexion to my own, knowing it isn't realistic to compare ones hair to that of someone drastically different - you wouldn't compare Barbie to Teresa [the brunette barbie in case that went unknown].

Here's my hair process thus far.
Leaving the salon the first time we had the color a little dark than we wanted, just in case it faded. But two weeks later it's still a little darker than I'd like, so I have an appointment next week to do some toning. My ever-so-patient stylist is probably ready to give me the boot, because I seem to always text her about something! Just this morning I already begged her to let me know if any cancellations arise prior to my already-scheduled appointment. I'm that anxious and impatient. **bless you, Melissa**

Until then, let's say a little prayer that I can make a decision. Oh, and that my husband doesn't disown me after these last few hair trials. I'm going to have to start digging out change in my car seats after too long.

::: little minis :::

It is no a secret... I am obsessed with love anything mini!! It's not about things that are small - we're talking, life-like doll house furniture, food, miniature dishware in Bed Bath & Beyond, "oh my gosh, how freaking cute is THIS!"... and yes, even babies and newborn clothing fall under that category.

Ok, so you get the picture!!

Seriously, how adorable are these???

The above photo was borrowed from another site, sharing their passion for miniatures, as well! It was exciting to know someone else felt the same love for these little creations.

Now, I can hardly handle my excitement for these next photos. This is one of those... "oh my gosh, how freaking cute are THESE?!?!" kind of moment.

This incredible website offers ALL THINGS miniature; cakes, pastries, and main dishes. I was in complete awe! In fact, I am now a follower on their blog.

Most of what I remember from collectible dollhouses, was the dated furniture and kitchen sets. Now, there are designers putting a modern twist on these desirable items.

 Then:
Now:

Particular designers, Brinca Dada, produce the most modern pieces of furniture, houses, etc. Here are a few of their brilliant models:

Are these not stunning?

One day I'll own a dollhouse, and fill it with all kinds of miniature beauties!!

It's a bit of an obsession.

Really? I can't stand it! (photo credit)
