Clothing the OUTGROWING!

Children's apparel are possibly the most adorable, yet less worn pieces of clothing. The reality of spending $$$$'s on my child, knowing she will grow out of everything within a few months span, is hard to admit... but, I'm guilty.

Nonetheless, it does not stop my wandering eye online, or when I'm strolling through the local clothing stores. It's a terrible habit.

Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite sites. I absolutely adore the little girls apparel, SHOES & accessories @ Zara (kids).

...and oh, the anticipation for a little boy!

You're welcome. Happy shopping! ;)

Let's SPRING forward already!

Rain, snow, hot, cold... sounds seasonal, but those were our latest weather conditions these past weeks. No fun. With that said, it's undoubtedly certain we have been enjoying the high 60-70 degree weather. Keep it coming!!

The following photos were taken on the most recent warm, sunny days. A peek into a few of our mommy/daughter adventures (if you will).

Creating sidewalk chalk masterpieces...

Blowing bubbles...
Riding bikes...
Trips to the zoo...
Or visiting the new Big Four Bridge!
No matter the occasion, we are enjoying the weather, and looking forward to more sunny adventures! Here's hoping spring is now just around the corner.

Have a blessed day!!

Motivational Monday

Today's post was inspired by none other than the most positive, side-line cheering team player, Kevin Ware, and our dear Louisville (loo-a-vull) Cardinals basketball team.
His traumatic injury brought tears to not only himself, but to the fans, his coach and his teammates. It was certainly the end to his season...
...but was it the end of his spirit for his team?

No.

On the sidelines, he remained encouraging and supportive, showing his team that his heart and spirit were much alive - as he now played the role of their 6th man.
With that, and the heart of the other teammates, they fought through, and found themselves heading to the championship game.

The moral of the story, folks:

Good luck tonight, Cards!! Let's WIN a championship!!!!!!

::: little minis :::

It is no a secret... I am obsessed with love anything mini!! It's not about things that are small - we're talking, life-like doll house furniture, food, miniature dishware in Bed Bath & Beyond, "oh my gosh, how freaking cute is THIS!"... and yes, even babies and newborn clothing fall under that category.

Ok, so you get the picture!!

Seriously, how adorable are these???

The above photo was borrowed from another site, sharing their passion for miniatures, as well! It was exciting to know someone else felt the same love for these little creations.

Now, I can hardly handle my excitement for these next photos. This is one of those... "oh my gosh, how freaking cute are THESE?!?!" kind of moment.

This incredible website offers ALL THINGS miniature; cakes, pastries, and main dishes. I was in complete awe! In fact, I am now a follower on their blog.

Most of what I remember from collectible dollhouses, was the dated furniture and kitchen sets. Now, there are designers putting a modern twist on these desirable items.

 Then:
Now:

Particular designers, Brinca Dada, produce the most modern pieces of furniture, houses, etc. Here are a few of their brilliant models:

Are these not stunning?

One day I'll own a dollhouse, and fill it with all kinds of miniature beauties!!

It's a bit of an obsession.

Really? I can't stand it! (photo credit)

Heart-to-Heart

Since as far back as I can remember, finding anything (and I mean anything) shaped like a heart, meant snapping a photo and immediately sending it to my mom - and vice versa!! It's something special the two of us share.

To save time, I'll only display the most recent of our finds:
(1) Crouton (2) Cereal (3) Sea Shell (4) A magazine ad full of heart-shaped items. Heaven!!

The symbol not only seems to represent "love", but to me, it also represents a bond; something that should never be broken. When you look at a broken heart on paper, it's literally in pieces - not the way bonds are intended.
By definition, a bond simply means: "...to be joined securely to something else."
A heart, in two, does not abide by such terms; therefore, it shan't be broken.

...but such is life.

Moving on to a happier note - happy blog! - as previously stated, a heart is most certainly known for the symbol of "love". It seems to always bring an immediate cheerful feeling to those who see that little symbol - especially when it's unintentional (our favorite)! Just a little photo of a heart-shaped object can turn my day around in a second!

In closing, here are a few more sweet, heart-shaped moments.
(talk about the perfect match; coffee AND a heart - I'm trying to contain myself)

Good day to you all!!

Motivational Monday

The focus for this quote, is geared towards the broken, or sadden, hearts which come from struggles in relationships. Whatever the situation may be, we often ask ourselves, "...why did this happen?". Although, there is no solitary answer for such a heavy question, it's a great lesson in life!!

Hurt is something that triggers your mind's realization of what your heart can or cannot handle. The lesson?
...to understand such a message, and to gain the ability to know when/how that pain could occur again, how to avoid it, or how to handle it.

Now, that doesn't mean to shut down, and shut people out. It simply means to allow yourself to be stronger.
